This year’s clincher tire version comes with a rim that has been lightened by a special process that reduces the weight by about 30 g, but maintains the wheel’s technical properties. The special section of the rim absorbs jolts from an uneven road surface and provides ideal comfort during long-distance competitions. The HPW oversize hubs of the Record class and the differentiated ‘aero’ spoke provide ultralinear geometry that ensures that loads are distributed along the entire length of the spoke without concentrating on a single point as in the case of traditional spoking. The rear differential asymmetrical rim improves wheel dish and further increases wheel solidity.
