When you look at the Schwinn Nancy Ladies Bike, you really are looking at a bike that represents the classic bike for women. The bike has an easy step-through frame so women of all ages can ride the bike, no worries.

Functionality is definitely a trait of the Schwinn Nancy, and the bike also looks really cool. With this particular frame shape, it sits the rider in a fairly laid back position, where you sit quite upright. We all know that leaning way forward on a bike isn't necessarily what we want when riding - we'll leave that to the 'speed freaks' and professional riders. If you want a bike where you can just cruise along the bike paths, checking out the scenery and generally taking your time, you'll want a bike with a frame like this one. The frame also allows for good control of the bike because your weight is on your bottom, not half on your hands (as it would be if you were leaning forward).

Notice in the picture how the handlebars sweep back? They provide the upright riding position. And the saddle and grips are quite unique on this bike. Because the handlebars sweep back so nicely, it allows for having a wider saddle so your bottom has more padding underneath. Of course, a set up like this would be no good for a racing bike, but on this one you can totally get away with it!

The handlebars also sit higher than the seat which make the riding position more upright. The Nancy is an apricot colour with the pink and white grips and saddle. With the grips and saddle being such an out-there colour, you may prefer to change to some grips that are a bit more mellow, in which case we will change them over for you, free of charge. And of course, because the bike is such a comfortable leisurely bike, it wouldn't be the same without the mudguards and chainguards to match. Having a chainguard on the bike means you can know that the bottom on your pants/skirt are safe from the chain when you are riding. It's not very nice when you come to a grinding holt because the bottom of your pants just got attacked from the chain and now has a beautiful grease stain and rip in the bottom... chainguards are definitely a good option. And mudguards of course protect you from splashing from the wheels in wet or muddy conditions.

On this bike you will also notice a carrier built in on the back. It actually has a spring top which means it's super easy to attached your shopping bags (or whatever it may be) when you are riding home. The bike on has 3 gears as well so you don't have to worry too much about the tech of riding, you just get on and start pedalling! The Schwinn Nancy also has the feature where you can change the gears whether you are moving or stationary. Which is very handy when you are stopping and starting a lot. Schwinn have also ensured that the gears operate easily with a light-touch so weak-wrists or arthritis are not a problem.
