Giant Via 2011 - 'old school' styling at its best!

These "old school" bikes are the latest thing around university campuses and beach paths. Coming into summer, it's easy to imagine cruising down the footpath next to the beach, looking out over the water and basking in the sunshine. Well, the Via is the perfect bike for this.The bike is designed to have an upright riding position for cruisy rides, and has all the comfort bike features like fenders, comfy saddle, chainguard and a low standover frame (for easy mounting). The frame is different to other bikes and is actually designed so that you can hang a "U" lock in the frame to use when you want. It will sit securely in the frame while you are riding. Alloy double wall rims mean the rims are stronger than your average rims. And the dual pivot caliper give more responsive braking, with less pressure from your fingers. The 8-speed SRAM gears give you easy shifting and reliability.

The practical features of the Via are probably outweighed by it's sensationally retro appearance with slim tubing dimensions and subtle but great-looking paint job. It's definitely worth taking for a test ride so you can see what I mean... and fall in love with the bike of course...
