Giant Reign 2 2012.

The Reign 2 is the weapon of choice for riders who need to climb to descend down their favorite section of nasty technical single track- and with a grin, climb back up again.

With 6-inches of the most versatile suspension package on the market, braking and rider pedaling forces never influence the rear shock. This means traction, even in the gnarliest terrain, and traction always means control. Sealed pivot bearings on the linkages means less time maintaining and more time riding. 

The frame is designed to take maximum advantage of Giant’s exclusive hydro forming process to take material out where it’s not needed and add material where it is; resulting in a frame that’s lighter, stiffer and more responsive. Intelligent thinking like this makes Giant the leaders in Aluminum frame design. Compared to the Trance X series, the head tube angle on the Reign is slacker which gives the bike a more stable feel descending. The seat tube angle is the same, so the Reigns' climbing prowess hasn't been compromised. 

The Giant height adjustable seat post is a fantastic feature that allows riders to remotely adjust the height of the seat – keep it low on technical descents for maximum stand over height, and when the  trail points up depress the lever on the handlebar and the seat returns to the perfect seat height for climbing. 

For the Reign 2, Giant have stuck with the current benchmark in suspension design and development - Fox Racing Shox. Drivetrain parts are SRAM/Shimano 27 speed, which is the minimum for good quality off road shifting and durability.
