The 2012 Giant Anthem X1 W, is designed around Giants 3F design philosophy which is a simple guiding principle is at the heart of all Liv/giant bikes. This product-design philosophy, which stands for “Fit, Form, Function,” allows Liv/giant engineers and designers to stay focused on the holistic balance of three key characteristics deemed critical to every bike’s performance and appeal. Fit

Nothing is more critical to comfort, performance and overall riding enjoyment than proper fit. Liv/giant bikes are designed specifically for the unique ergonomic needs of women, which differ from those of men. They are created with women’s-specific frame geometry and come in accommodating size ranges. Liv/giant bikes also feature women’s-specific componentry including narrower handlebars, shorter-reach brake levers and women’s-specific saddles. Every aspect of the bike is analyzed and optimized for perfect fit.

Form       

While our engineers determine the key factors of a bike’s performance—frame material, geometry, integration—it’s the designers’ job to boost those less tangible qualities that give bikes their appeal. The Anthem X1 W allows those women with a competitive streak to confidently and comfortably tackle some of the toughest off road terrain. The supple suspension, which has 4" of travel at front and rear smooths out most of the rough stuff while the aluminium ALUXX SL frame keeps the weight down for easier riding. Assembled with componentry from Shimano XT and SLX and with stopping power from Avid hydraulic disc brakes, it's not hard to see why the Anthem X1 W is the choice of many racers and keen recreational riders.
