Giant 29ers

Giant 29ers are the monster trucks of the cycling world. This years range has expanded to include the Giant Xtc 29er in two models, as well as the Anthem X 29er, also available in two models.

Combining a larger wheel than a standard MTB makes for a greater contact surface, and increased efficiency when pedalling. Add to this the increased traction and reduced contact angle that is obtained with the 29 inch wheel and 29ers are the perfect bikes for those who encounter tree roots and washaways on their cross country or downhill adventures.

The Giant 29ers are only a new face on the mountain bike scene. Beginning in 2010 it was only available as an XTC, before expanding in 2011 and now into 2012 the range includes a Talon 0 29er, three XTC 29ers (including a top of the line carbon model), as well as an Anthem and Trance 29er for the heavier offroad rider.

Giant aren't the only ones taking advantage of this growing trend with a number of GT 29er Mountain Bikes such as the Karakoram 29er available, starting from as little as $669.
