Gt Nomad Sport.
Lovely womans bike. It allows the rider to sit relatively upright if desired, but if you prefer to work harder, then the stem can be adjusted to give a more efficient riding position.
The saddle is bliss, just perfect. It is plush, just the right width, and has deep luxurious cushioning. Certainly not right if you wish to compete in an "Iron Man", but for those of us just wishing for a bit of exercise without lingering pain for some time after, then it is great. Of course the saddle is mounted on a suspension seat pillar to cushion out the larger impacts, that would be too much for the gel saddle. Overall it is plush and comfortable. Oh, and the grips. Little thought of, but really important. The main contact areas when on a bike are the grips, the saddle and the pedals. Lots of attention may be paid to the saddle, but often the grips are forgotten. The GT has lovely soft "dual density" grips which absorb a lot of the shock that would normally be transmitted up through your hands and wrists. As I said a small detail, but it adds a surprising amount of comfort. Pedals have a rubberised grip area, so that your shoes do not slip off, no matter what the conditions. And they have just a little padding......
The appearance is great, with a very attractive white high gloss paint finish, with silver decals and highlights. Looks great.
Of course we better cover the rest of the practical aspects. The gears are Shimano Alivio, and designed to be light in the action, and simple to operate. It has a wide range of gears, so no matter where you ride there is a selection of gears that will be suitable. The brakes are very effective, and again require little pressure to operate. They are quite progressive, which means easy to apply gently or, if required rapidly bring the bike to an immediate halt.
If you wish to fit a basket, rack, mudguards, drink bottle or a host of other accessories, there is provision for them on the bike.
Great bike, well thought out (and looks great!).
