Mongoose Popstar NX3 Girls 24 inch Mountain Bike.

This is definitely the lightest, easy to use mountain bike we carry. The bike is probably about 2 kgs lighter than any other mountain bike. It is exceptional.

The bike has all unnecessary weight removed, so it does not have front suspension, which adds considerable weight to kids bikes. As most riding is done on bike paths the suspension would not even be missed.

The gear system is a 3 speed internal hub. This means the gears are well protected, in the unlikely event that the bike is left on the ground, or that it falls over. The 3 speed system is easier to use than normal chain gears as the gears can be changed whether stationary or moving, so you can stop, then change it to 1st gear and take off again, unlike chain gears, where you have to change before stopping.

The bike has a tough aluminium frame with lots of clearance to stand over it. This bike is easier to mount on a car carrier than most girls bikes, because of the frame design.
