 Mongoose Popstar NX3 Girls 20inch Mountain Bike

There is sometimes not a lot of difference from one kids bike to the next. A few dollars one way or the other, a nicer colour or slight component variations etc are sometimes the only indicators for making a choice. At Ivanhoe Cycles we are always looking for kids bikes that are different in another way. A way we see as being more beneficial. We like to find bikes like this Mongoose Popstar NX3 and the Mongoose Shredder NX3 and the range of XDS Lite bikes. Bikes that are significantly lighter in weight than most other kids bikes. Bikes that are esier for the parent to handle, but most importantly, bikes that are easier for the child to ride.This easier experience is a great motivator and sees kids wanting to ride more often, wanting to and being able to, ride further.   

The Mongoose Popstar NX3 is one of our lightest 20 Inch Mountain Bikes, combining a superlight alloy frame with rigid forks to ensure maximum weight reduction. This means the bike is easier for a slightly built child to ride around, particularly uphill, as well as easy for mum and dad to put on the car rack.

At the back is a three speed Shimano Nexus internal hub gear system, featuring a low, middle and a high gear. The simplicity of this system is the main attraction, with the ability to change gears whilst not pedalling a great advantage for a child low on cycling confidence. The gears are virtually maintenance free, and the fully sealed unit means greasy hands are a thing of the past!
