This would have to be one of the most excellent examples of value for money in the commuting/touring bike sector. Bold statement I know. But how does it do it? Firstly, the mud guards and rack easily add up to $150 worth followed by an excellent quality, all aluminium frame.The riding position is very well designed being not too upright therefore allowing you to fully generate good riding power and it is not too stretched out meaning it won't break your back!! It is well balanced which allows you to ride at a very swift pace with minimal effort and fatigue over long distances. The bike comes with a rigid fork which suprisingly doesn't alert you to this fact when riding on bumpy surfaces. The design of the bike allows isolation from these so there is minimal transference of vibrations etc to you through the handlebars etc. Other benefits come from the large diameter tyres which run a medium pressure allowing these to absorb bumps and ruts quite effectively. This is a great bike for commuting or touring, is robust, user friendly and has a reliable Shimano Altus 24 speed drive train. Also fitted is a fantastic saddle that is super comfortable (this I liked the most!) which is a very welcome feature.
