The Giant Seek has been developed as an ideal bike for commuting, exploring bike paths and as a general run-around. There seems to be a rapidly developing interest in lightweight, fast commuters and the Seek answers this demand admirably. The Seek 1 has a lightweight, top-of-the range frame and offers it at a price that your hip-pocket will smile at! With the same light weight ALUXX SL aluminium frame used in the Cross City 1 and 2, this superior alloy offers 18% more tensile strength than Giant's other proprietary alloy, ALUXX, used in the Seek 2 and 3. The end result? A frame made of thin-walled tubing that is both light and agile while retaining all the strength and durability of a heavier frame.The bike is sleek, yet robust. It is ideal for pretty much any riding other than racing or off-road use. It has a wide gear range to handle any sort of terrain. Because it has a tough wheel set it can be used over all types of surfaces, whether they be gravel, grass or paved. The bike is also set-up to take a rear rack so that you can load it up if need be. Most people will love the really clean look of the Seek, so may be hesitant to add anything that will detract from the superb lines of the bike.

The brakes are Shimano hydraulic discs, a really responsive set of brakes, perfect if you are commuting or carrying any loads. The confidence that a great set of brakes gives is hard to describe, it is a great feeling knowing that you can stop quickly under any conditions, even in adverse weather conditions.The equipment is Shimano Deore. Shimano designed this for upper recreation, so you can be confident that the gear changing will be precise, with no missed changes, even if you are relatively new to cycling. Simply stated it will make changing gear a breeze.
