GT Traffic City Bike.

Want a bike that is relatively light, easy to push and comfortable? The GT Traffic 3 is likely to fit the bill. This is aptly named a city bike. It is designed for paved surfaces, it is fast and light, ideal for getting to work or just having fun. The bike is fitted with accessories which will be a great benefit to urban riders. The wheels and seat have a special locking mechanism to prevent theft when the bike is parked, the seat also has an integrated flashing taillight, a very neat little unit.

The aluminium frame is quite light, and because it is not fitted with suspension the weight is kept at a minimum. This means that the bike feels light and rolls along well. The bike is ideal for bike paths or any relatively smooth surface where suspension is not only not required, but can make a bike heavier and less efficent to ride. The GT Traffic is fitted with a 24 speed gear system, which is aimed for the recreational market (light action, simple to operate). The tyres are puncture resistant, and keep rolling resistance low, so that the bike rolls easily. I found the saddle very comfortable, but of course some riders may have different requirements. The handlebars and stem are lightweight and high quality. Overall this is not only a great looking bike, but also a pleasure to ride, and inexpensive.
